Warners Solicitors were delighted to sponsor the Personality of the Year Award at this year’s Food and Farming Industry Awards. The Awards, organised by Farm Business were hosted at the House of Commons by Neil Parish MP and the speaker for the evening was the author, broadcaster, actor, entertainer and former Member of Parliament Gyles Brandreth.
Steve Colville, head of the Agriculture and Landed Estates team at Warners Solicitors presented the award to, the winner, farmer and NFU Deputy President, Minette Batters.
The judges this year felt that Minette was the strongest candidate to win this award, from running a successful beef and dairy farm as a single mother, she has made real efforts to promote the industry with her “Ladies in Beef” campaign and her forthcoming “Mighty Milk” campaign and, her recent appointment to Deputy President of the NFU is something Minette is very proud of, and we’re sure we will be seeing a great deal more of this talented individual. Minette received the award from Steve Colville, head of Warners Agriculture and Landed Estates Team.
Steve Colville says “Warners are delighted to be involved in the Food and Farming Industry Awards. It is important that we join together to recognise and honour the businesses and individuals who are making a real difference in a sector that is so vital to all our lives. We all need and enjoy fresh home-grown food and all the award winners tonight have played a huge part in delivering this basic commodity in a modern sustainable way. Congratulations to all of the winners.”
