Event series

Druces’ special year kicks off with a series of seminars covering up-to-the-minute legal developments, as well as unique link ups with business entities such as the London Chamber of Commerce and London & Partners.

A brief history
Such is the extent of the firm’s history that, by the time Wellington secured victory at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, Druces had already been in operation for almost 50 years. From the firm’s 1858 hire of Henry Attlee (father of Prime Minister Clement Attlee) after almost 100 years of existence, to the pioneering work on property investment through syndication in the 1990s and more recently a series of legal firsts from 2000 onwards, Druces has been part of the fabric of legal life in London for two and a half centuries and counting.

Alongside the anniversary celebrations, Druces will continue to expand its market presence through the provision of corporate, finance, employment, property, litigation, charities, private wealth, and tax services.

Roy Campbell, Senior Partner, comments:

“There is no doubt that this is a great time to be associated with Druces. We are extremely proud of our past; indeed, it is a history laden with noteworthy moments and landmark achievements.  We very much look forward to carrying our values and ethos forward into 2017 as we seek to continue to provide clients with the quality of service they have come to expect from Druces.

I am honoured to help lead the firm forward into its 250th year; a year which will provide opportunity to reflect on our achievements and look forward to the successes of the next 250 years.

Our core values have ensured that we have enjoyed recent momentum and success, and the outset of this special anniversary year is the ideal moment to reaffirm the themes of heritage, integrity, agility, ambition, adaptability and personality that make Druces stand out as a leading firm for its high value legal services.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the firm’s clients, as well as our lawyers and other members of staff, for shaping Druces into the trusted and respected organisation that it is today.”
