ABL Hong Kong member, OLN, has been awarded five Law Society Pro Bono and Community Service Awards for the year 2013 at the Pro Bono and Community Service Award Presentation Ceremony which took place at the High Court of Hong Kong on 6th December 2013.

To honour Law Society members, trainee solicitors, registered foreign lawyers as well as law firms that have delivered volunteer legal and community services to the general public in need, the Law Society’s Pro Bono and Community Work Recognition Committee gives away various awards each year to these professionals or firms.

The primary aim of the Committee is to encourage the active participation of these professionals and firms in pro bono and community work.

For the second year running, OLN is honoured to have its achievements and dedication to pro bono services recognised with nominations for a Law firm – Bronze Award and Individual awards to four of OLN’s lawyers:
Scherzade Burden – Gold
Maxine Chu – Silver
Olivia Kung – Silver
Alfred Ip – Bronze

The Law Society generously hosted a drinks and canapés reception after the award ceremony, which was a great opportunity to network with industry friends, old and new. An enjoyable evening was had by all and OLN would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all the other nominees and winners.
