Mike Brown is a business, property/real estate and dispute resolution attorney with over thirty (30) years of experience practicing law in California.  Mike is the Managing Partner of Brown Gee & Wenger LLP with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area. 
Brown Gee & Wenger represent regional, national and international corporations; business and property owners, and officers and directors.    The firm’s clients are active in diverse industries including manufacturing, retail, medical and health care, food and beverage, real estate and property development and construction, energy, financial and professional services and technology.

For the firm’s business practice, Mike works with clients and their teams of legal, financial and business advisors from the initial start-up and with ongoing business operations, qualifying international businesses to do business in California, assisting in the establishment of corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs) and other business forms including joint ventures.  This practice includes the drafting and amendment of by-laws, articles, operating agreements and other governing documents.

Mike’s real estate, property and land use practice includes real estate purchase and sale transactions, construction law, contracts, development agreements, real estate financing including workouts, commercial leases, and land use advocacy with local government and state agencies.
In his dispute resolution practice, Mike handles arbitration, mediation and court litigation.

With his expertise in both transactions and litigation, well-grounded across many industries and handling a wide range of business issues, Mike is a problem solver, strategic thinker and strong advocate and counselor for his clients. Mike is an elected member of the American Law Institute, actively participates in the California Building Industry Association and is a member of the California Bar.   Mike earned his Juris Doctor in 1982 from the University of California, Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.

Mike’s partners have developed the well-rounded expertise needed by the firm’s business clients.  Audrey Gee’s employment law practice includes advising employers on compliance with California and U.S. employment law, drafting employment agreements and employment manuals, and defending employers in administrative proceedings and in court.  Audrey also assists clients with trademark and trade secret protection, arbitration and litigation.   Katherine Wenger represents corporations, LLCs, business owners, officers and directors, handling complex business disputes, corporate governance, E & O claims, and the protection of intellectual property including inventions, trade secrets, and customer lists.
