Hans Mathijsen of Willems Advocaten & Rechtsanwälte N.V. in Amsterdam was initiator and one of the founders of the Dutch Chapter of the German Bar Association DAV.

The Netherland's Chapter of the Deutscher Anwalt Verein ( DAV) aims to further the exchange between lawyers admitted to the German Bar and established in The Netherlands with their German based colleagues by training, education and all other means that can support this goal, and to enhance professional expertise.

The German Bar Association DAV rallies the major part of Germany’s Rechtsanwälte and already had internationally chapters in Brasil, France, Greece, Great Britain, Italy Poland, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.

Now The Netherlands Chapter is the newest pearl on the string and the chapter has been warmly welcomed by members from all represented jurisdictions. Hans Mathijsen is also Board member of the Netherlands’ DAV.
